Mac and the team at Davey tree did such a great job from start to finish! They did excellent work pruning the pine tree and installing a cable to secure our cedar spars. They are professionals!

We requested pruning services and met with a representative who inspected the work to be done and told he would get an estimate back to us in a few days. That was ten days ago. We have left several messages requesting an update on the estimate. No one bothered to call back. Apparently, they are not interested in doing the job. A simple phone call would have been polite. A few years ago, we hired Davey for a very expensive tree removal so it wasn’t like we were strangers. This lack of common decency and courtesy is appalling.

A wonderful experience! I run a commercial building in north Seattle and we had some nasty overgrowth that had been needing to be tackled for years. Mac came out was very timely got us a bid for the work and within a couple days we were left very happy customers who will definitely use their services again!

I've had Davey Tree handle all of my pruning and consultation needs for about eight years now and I'll keep having them in. This year Jacob S, Cody M, and Julio C. Did some wonderful freshening up of our landscaping. They did some work on a shrub that I was considering removing and when they got done it looks better than ever.
When I brought this property we had five trees that we thought we were going to lose and numerous stumps in the yard. We end up taking two of the trees out, but thanks to the Davey crews and their recommended seasonal treatments, the rest are healthier than they were when we moved in.

This review covers 2 related major jobs that Davey did for us in the past month. We had 3 fir trees blow down and cover our yard, one 135' and another 120', in the November bomb cyclone near Seattle. Davey was the company sent out by our insurance company in response to the request for tree service on filing a claim at 10 PM before the storm even ended. Their estimator, Mac, was out early the next morning. I also got estimates from 2 other companies in the area. Davey was competitive in my 2 usual criteria - price and assessment of their ability to perform the job. The decision went to Davey with confidence due to an extra factor. Mac showed such thorough knowledge of the process that I would go through during the removal and how insurance companies handle such tree removals (no house damage involved) that I could not help being reassured that this, my first homeowners claim, was going to be fairly smooth.
The crew was out just a couple of days later, in spite of the widespread area damage, with many cases of trees on houses. They worked efficiently and hard for a day and a half to remove the tons of debris down to the stumps. The disruption to my yard was small considering the extent of the job.
Mac and I had decided to treat the handling of the stumps as a separate task to be decided when the other debris was removed. It proved to be a good choice. I could handle the small stump myself, and the 2' diameter stump went unexpectedly upright to a position I am choosing to leave once the weight was removed. The 2.5' diameter trunk was another matter, with a huge hole and a rootwad well over 8' in diameter.
For the large rootwad, Mac worked with me on creative ideas other than the expensive option of completely grinding the roots and stump completely to ground level. They were out in a reasonable time after we decided on a course of action, overcame an unexpected mechanical problem, and completed the job the next work day. It had chosen a course that was not perfect but was sufficient and within the limits of what my neighbor and I wanted to spend. The work that Davey was able to do within those limits far exceeded what I had hoped for. I am as happy as I could be with the process short of not having had the trees fall in the first place.
