Matt settled all my fears during the work, while Jenn helped to guide me from start to finish. Blake had a focus on safety, while their equipment technology kept the job quiet and carefree. They even took the time to make sure my animals were safe and happy. It is too bad I don't have any other trees left that need maintenance, because I miss this local family owned, professional Yuba Forest Restoration team. The team was great! They are hard working, conscientious, and really talented at what they do. They're also very kind, answered our various questions, explained things... all around great guys and interesting for us to watch them tackle some of the bigger trees. We will definitely keep YFR in mind for future jobs.

Matt and his crew are such a pleasure to work with. We live on three flat, forested acres purchased in 2019, and they’ve been an integral part of our stewardship of it over the last 6 years. We’ve had YFR up many times. We interviewed lots of arborists/tree services, and his vibe and approach immediately resonated with ours — they were clearly the best choice for us. Their initial help to clear and masticate decades of overgrowth on the entire property really opened up our little forest. They’ve returned many times since to fell trees, clear brush, and reassess along the way, and we’ve slowly shaped the land to suit our needs while ensuring the land is healthy and thriving. What’s been great about our ongoing relationship with YFR is Matt’s guidance on longterm maintenance. He’s helped us prioritize our efforts, and always finds creative ways to stay within our budget for each project. He and his crew are always professional, friendly, and clearly skilled at their respective roles, and they always go above and beyond what’s expected. I’m always impressed by their efficiency and precision, especially the last tree they fell right next to our house: it landed safely within a few feet of the buildings it was near!
