David Gallo and his crew were removing a fallen tree from a neighbor's house in Orinda. We asked David for an estimate to remove a huge eucalyptus tree from our yard and to trim branches and deadwood throughout our property to satisfy our insurance company. The price quoted seemed fair so we hired them; they started the next day and completed the work quickly, efficiently and professionally. The crew consisted of several very nice guys, and David came by periodically to supervise the work. We would definitely hire Better City Tree Services again should the need arise.
Dave and his crew did a phenomenal job restoring my date palm to its full potential. I had a very disappointing experience with another tree service about 1-1/2 years ago with the same tree, leaving it in the "before" condition in the photos. Dave responded quickly on a Friday with a visit and proposal, and completed the job on Monday. Good value, friendly and responsive. Strongly recommend (and I am a contractor myself!)
Received a call from David and said if I needed any tree services I said no idk how he got my info he said from a angi lead which I have not account nor do I have the app and proceeds to be very rude and saying well you just cost my company $100 and that’s wrong you can’t be doing that… I was surprised to hear a business owner speak like that to someone like that I understand his frustration but it’s not my fault and I’m pretty sure you can contact angi leads and request a refund especially if I didn’t make an appointment! Very unprofessional and rude probably does good work but with the way he spoke to me over the phone I would never use his services if I ever needed them! First impressions go a long way!

Needed some old and really big redwood trees cut on our backyard. Was worried that they would have a hard time being that the trees were on a steep hill plus our pool. But they managed to make it happen! Cut the trees down in a few hours, cleaned up and did a great job!
