On the property of the house I grew up in, in San Diego, I have 4 very big, very old trees. I have been been using Higuera Tree Care’s services since 2016 and *highly* recommend the company.
Hernan is a wonderful, knowledgeable arborist and person, and Higuera Trees will trim your trees the way you want them. Originally I would tell Hernan what branches I wanted cut and what I didn’t. He graciously accepted my requests & would then instruct his very capable crew, who carry out his instructions to the letter. Here I must say that the crew seems to know what they are doing, especially the head trimmer. I’ve learned from Hernan, because he willingly shares his knowledge, explaining why it would be beneficial to the tree to trim it in ways I hadn’t thought of.
Nowadays, since I live in a different city than the house I grew up in, I trust Hernan and his crew to trim the trees the way he knows I like them. This is a big deal for me, because my own father was an expert tree trimmer who owned his own gardening landscaping company, and these trees were planted by him. Hernan and his crew know how to lace out a tree, which appears to be a vanishing art. The crew also thoroughly cleans up at the end of each job—another lost practice!
When I inherited the house, my dad had been dead for some years and the trees were badly in need of trimming. Now they are healthy and thriving, thanks to Higuera Tree Care. Thank you to Hernan, the crew, and Karla, his kind and proficient office manager!

I needed a stump removed to put up a new fence plus some tree trimming. After Higuera Tree Care finished the job you can't even tell there was a stump. I wanted the tree trimmed in half and that was done too. The best part was how clean they left the area after all the trimming was done. I was really impressed with their work and cost was good too. I would recommend Higuera Tree Care for any stump or tree trimming needs.

Higuera Tree Care trimmed our tall Mexican Palm tree and did a great job. We were given an hour window the day before, which was helpful for planning. On the day of service, the crew ran about an hour late—but they notified us right away, which we really appreciated. Once they arrived, the work was done quickly and efficiently, and all debris was cleaned up thoroughly. Great service from start to finish—highly recommend!

I recently contracted 2 jobs for tree removal at our property and my parent's property. I used them years ago from a trusted friend who referred them to me, and I will continue to use them for any tree service needed. The entire experience is top notch from the quote to the finished job. Their attention to detail is impressive and they keep the area clean with no traces of work being done. All of their crew members are respectful, polite and professional. They take great care in ensuring that your property and neighbors property is safe and kept clean after the job is completed. Will definitely continue to use them and confidently refer them to my friends and family.
