Eric and his crew did a great job trimming our 50+ year old red oak tree. They used a cherry-picker truck to reach the most tricky branches and avoided dropping them on the neighbors house. To get to the highest branches they climbed by robe (without using spikes). The whole crew was efficient, courteous, and cleaned up the grounds well at the end.

False Advertising.
Their website advertises “free estimates,” but when I asked about my cedar hedge concerns, I was told the charge would be $170/hour with a one-hour minimum because I had asked for an “assessment,” which they classified as a paid “consultation.” I used the same language with two other ISA certified arborists, and they did not take the opportunity to reinterpret that as a billable consultation and advised me free of charge. It felt like Northwest Arboriculture was using wordplay to avoid honoring the advertised free estimate. If diagnostic visits are charged — which is their prerogative — that should be stated clearly instead of promoting “free estimates.”

Trent and his crew are excellent. We've used them for years and they have always done a great job on the trees. They listen carefully to what we want, are careful of other landscaping and buildings, and they clean up so you can't tell they've been there. Highly recommend, very professional.

We were quite worried that our big leaning spruce tree might fall in a storm and hit the house, or worse — simply no longer be there to bless the home with its beautiful presence!
Trent stopped by to take a look and was an absolute pleasure to discuss the risk posed by the tree. You can tell he lives, breathes, and loves trees. We have many large trees and periodically needed tree work done over the years, and have called upon this firm before. NW is the best we have ever had on all counts, and just yesterday had their service once again. Not only have they been responsive in emergency situations, but have the experience to advise, perform, and clean up all at reasonable rates.
